Cotopaxi School

Brief History

Cotopaxi School was first founded in 1987 and was originally funded by the local families and is now funded by the state. Most people in the local community make their living through agriculture of coffee and cocoa. Whilst the school is state-funded, pupils are still required to provide their own resources and many of the local families struggle to afford these.

What we’ve done so far:

August – September 2009

All the donations of school equipment and stationary went to these children including:

- Colouring books
- Coloured pens, pencils and crayons
- Folders
- Pencil cases
- Rugby ball
- Compass
- Stapler
- Pencil sharpeners
- Stickers
- Pens, Pencils
- Highlighters and board pens
- Scissors
